Penny is a long time resident of Murfreesboro who grew up on a farm in the Fosterville community. She graduated from Middle TN State University in 1986 with a Mass Communications degree in Broadcast Journalism resulting in a career within the local television industry. A different career path brought her to the healthcare field doing medical billing and serving as a liaison for patients navigating a sometimes confusing medical world. She enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter and son-in-law, and her son as well as writing, craft making, and cooking.
